This article describes how to record and submit a video with the in-browser Web Recorder. The Web Recorder option allows you to record your response from your web-browser using a web-cam. We highly recommend using the Google Chrome web browser as we have found it provides the best user experience.
First, select the Web Recorder option.
Next, click Allow in the box to allow the Adobe Flash settings.
Next, make sure that you can see yourself in the in-browser recorder. Here, you can also adjust your audio, video, and quality settings at this point, though they are automatically optimized for each browser so we recommend not changing them.
Next, select the Record button and begin recording your Submission.
Once your Submission is complete and you have responded to the Challenge select the Stop button.
Your recording will then begin processing, which can take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes depending on your internet speed. After your video has completed processing. You will be given the option if you would like to submit it to the Exercise or you would like to re-record. If you are satisfied with your video, press the green Done button.
Lastly, press the green Submit to Exercise button, and you video will be sent to the servers for final processing and uploading. This process can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on your internet speed.
When you select Submit, you will be automatically redirected to the Peer Review stage. You can, however, go back to the Challenge Stage to see your submission processing. Press the blue Refresh to Check Status button to confirm that your video has completed processing. You will also receive an email when your video is completed processing.
When your video has finished processing, you'll be able to view your own Submission beside the Challenge video. If you are unsatisfied with the Submission, you can delete your recording and re-record. If you are satisfied with your Submission, you can then proceed on to the Peer Review stage.
